Abstracts

Did you know that abstract art is more intellectual than representational paintings?  It's true!!!  The process arises from seeing things differently and pushing the idea forward to find various angles and segments to make it work.   Are abstract paintings "real"?  Well then define "real".  Being real is the ability to be true to yourself, to find yourself in the process, to find your own style, your own processes, to be able to paint what you see and believe is truth.

If you are true to yourself your work will move forward, finding ways to make the colour, texture and form, harmonize throughout the painting.  It is constant 'problem solving'!
